I have a Yamaha R-V1105 receiver. The audio is going into an RCA Direct TV receiver. The strange thing is when I watch a show like the Sopranos on HBO, it says on the caption that it is being broadcasted in Dolby Digital. My Yamaha receiver automatically changes to Dolby for the Sopranos. But other movies and/or shows will say the same thing on the caption and yet the receiver doesn't change. Is that a function of Direct TV or is there something I can do differently with my receiver?
