Hi, I have a question concerning edtv(particulary the Panasonic TH-42PWD7UY edtv plasma). I want to get Cablevision hd and was wondering would it work on my set and what kind of picture quality should i expect?
Thank you all in advance,
Kalo

Yes, it will work. HD will get downconverted to 480p.

Why not?

It's a widescreen TV and he can take advantage of an HD feed at 16:9. No stretching and IMO a better video quality than an SD feed that's upconverted.

Most likely suggesting that HD capable is better than ED .

That's fine... but if the set is already purchased, it's a moot point.

I bought the TH42PWD6UY last year, have had it for a year now, and I think the HD channels (through DirecTV) look great on it. Don't know about Cablevision, but I would guess you'll get a similarly good picture with HD channels.
