Has anyone compared the colour banding issue on the PWD7UY vs. the 6UY? I just checked out a Viera 42" EDTV. The source was a vanilla DVD player through component. I used the beginning of a DVD, where the 'New Line Cinema' text flips over itself in blue, with a black background.
From what I could tell, the contour thickness was much narrower (i.e. better) on the 7, than my 6. At the same time, the set-up at this and another store I saw a Viera, was brutal. It was set to vivid mode, with cool colour temps. It appeared to have a fair bit of noise in the signal as well.
Other than this positive comparison, I haven't heard many positive comments, when the 7 EDTV has been compared to the 6 - well, at least not at AV Forums...
