Hello forum,
I bought me a Panasonic high def TV CT-30WC14 the other day. Even though I am still waiting for my high def Dish PVR 921 receiver to arrive via FedEx, I'm impressed with the TVs sleek looks and bright picture even though I am still looking at standard definition broadcasts through Dish Network's PVR 721. At first I was disappointed at the fuzziness of the picture until I read in the forums that this is a common problem with standard definition broadcasts and a high definition TV. So I was relieved that I would not have to lug the heavy set back to Walmart for an exchange. But yesterday the TV lost its ability to select previous and next channels consecutively using the shuttle button on the remote. The only way to change channels now is to manually key them in by pressing the channel number on the remote which is really no big problem since the TV will stay in channel 3 while I switch channels on the PVR. I suspect I broke the TV when I used a signal booster between the receiver I am presently using and the TV, hoping it would clear up the picture, which it didn't. So do you think I should take the TV back to WalMart for an exchange for this channel selection problem or just learn to live with it? The only person who is able to help me carry the heavy unit to my truck and bring the new one back inside the house is my poor 83 year old Daddy. He was the one who helped me lug the one I have now into the house. What do you think I should do?
Thanks,
Roy
