I would appreciate any help on the following problem. Panasonic TH-37PX25 works fine on 1080i input or 480p input. However, when watching 480i from either antenna or component feed from cable box the picture has problems. Overlaying the picture from top to bottom are horizontal streaks of orange/red. The image behind the streaking ranges appears correct except for chroma problems such as flesh tones appearing black and white. Used Sencore video generator to eliminate cables and source as problem. Problem occurs in both antenna inputs and both component video inputs. Any suggestions?.....Thanks......

This may be due to a lack of 3:2 pulldown, but I'm no expert.
All digital displays are progressive scan and most have 3:2 pulldown correction to accurately convert a 24fps signal from interlaced to progressive. Panasonic's TH series of plasmas, however, do not have 3:2 pulldown so you have to feed them with a progressive signal. If your cable box doesn't have its own scaler to convert to progressive, you'll have to purchase an external scaler.
This may or may not be the problem, but I'm not 100% sure, because I've never fed my Panasonic a non-progressive signal.

Thanks for the reply. I will verify the settings on the cable box. I think my problem may have another cause as it is suppose to deinterlace the NTSC (over air antenna, non hi def), double and convert to progressive. I am getting the same symptom w/ over the air signals. The symptom appeared in both the component video inputs (which had been working fine) and the antenna inputs at the same time. Set had worked for 2 months w/ no problem
