I have a DVD player with Component Video output and I want to plug it into my DVI connector on my HDTV. I assume my TV has a DVI-D input, but could be wrong. Thanks!

Component video is analogue DVI-D is digital. You can't (economically) convert the signals. Plug the component video cables into the CV input of the TV.
