First of all, I would like to say hi to everybody who contributes to this forum. I just purchased my HDTV set (Sony-KDF 42WE655), and believe me; this forum helped me a lot in making an educated purchasing decision. I spent tens of hours reading posts on this forum about HDTVs, cables, antennas, and in particular Sony HDTVs.
I set up my set last night, and everything seems pretty cool so far. The only problem that I'm having is in the TiVo department. PS2 looks a lot cooler with the component video cables, i get over-the-air HDTV channels with an indoor antenna; however, my digital cable feed that runs through TiVo into my Sony is really sub-par. A lot worse than before, even though my old TV was a crappy old tube. Now, I ran the digital cable directly to the TV and the quality was decent. Then, I went and bought some more cables: One from the digital cable box to TiVo (Monster-Composite A/V), and another one from TiVo to the TV (Monster-S-Video). There was perhaps a 5% improvement, but still pretty bad. Is there anything that I could do to improve TiVo viewing on my HDTV because we heavily use TiVo and I don't want to give up on it.
I looked at pretty much every thread on this forum, but couldn't find an answer to this question. If I missed something, I am apologizing in advance.
Thanks again..
