I bought my TV (Mitsubishi 42") through Goodguys. Free shipping: the TV left California on Tuesday and was at my house in Texas by Friday...5 days before the shipper's (Con-Way) scheduled deadline.

The shipping box looked like it had come right from the factory.

Was pleased with the transaction and felt very comfortable placing the order since they have 71 brick & mortar stores along the west coast. And it's hard to beat free shipping!

Edit: They did tag me for sales tax. Exactly how I'm not sure since they don't have any stores in my state. Perhaps it's some corporate relationship that isn't clear to me.

They say "Items sent to the states of Oregon, New Hampshire, Montana, Alaska and Delaware are not subject to sales taxes."

Did you choose standard shipping or white glove?, cause i'm thinking of ordering from them and theres no point in choosng white glove if the standard shipping is good enough, because i would have help getting in in myself. I was going to order a 34 in widescreen which is about 200 lbs.

Standard shipping. The delivery man brought the box right up to my front door.

I had "volunteer" muscle available so didn't need the white glove service.

If you want free white glove delivery, check Circuit City. They delivered my folk's big screen for them and set it up, no charge.

crutchfield delivered my 46 inch DLP free of charge, offered to unbox it, and even emailed me 3 days later to tell me the price had just been reduced and they were refunding me 200 dollars. Ordered it on a thursday and was at my house wednesday (6 days later) Also had excellent customer support.
