At 9 miles out with a medium range antenna, you might be overdriving the receiver, try playing with the aim on the antenna while you have someone at the TV. You might need to get something to cut down the signal strength also.

Since you are so close to the transmitters, and the Boston DTV stations are VERY strong, I have a feeling that you may be experiencing PSIP problems...digital TV stations have been scrambling to meet the new FCC guidelines for the inclusion of new PSIP information, and some tuners choke on the new information.

I suggest that you delete ALL of the offending stations from the tuner's memory, and have the tuner rescan to look for the channels. This seems to work in most cases. Samsung also issued a firmware upgrade for many of its tuners a while back, and, if deleting and rescanning doesn't work, you may need to contact Samsung for an upgrade.

thanks for the input! I have solved the problem! I was useing existing coax into the house that was about 25 years old, think it was rg59. I just dropped new rg6 and ran it thru the window and wala!! all digital signals good!!! Still though, no audio on 4.1, but that's a trouble i'lll be shootin after the game!!!!  "GO PATS"

the audio problem on WBZ-DT should go away with a channel delete and rescan...how did the game look on FOX-25 digital?
