Looking to purchase a KDF-55xs955. This unit does not have an iLink (Firewire) interface. Should I be concerned about not having this interface with HD-DVDs being relased sometime soon?

Should not be a showstopper IMO. (Unless you use D-VHS)

HD-DVDs will likely use DVI or HDMI, not likely firewire for connection to the TV. Firewire is used to connect to a recording device.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Hate to spend the money and find out that I can not take advantage of HD-DVDs. We wont be recording just viewing. Thanks again.
