Looks like you'll need an outdoor antenna with a rotor.

PBS and ABC are pretty far out there, so you will need a good antenna. I'd suggest the Channel Master 4228.

Ratman is right as far as he has gone: if you want the non-local stations: the ones that are 35-40 miles from you, you probably want to consider a rotator, as well. Because you have a strong local station, you may have a problem using a preamplifier, but you may need one if you are looking for the stations from Asheville. I would suggest a Channel Master 9521a rotator, and a high-input UHF preamplifier to minimize tuner overload, like a Winegard AP-8700 or a Channel Master Titan 7775 or a 7777

well guys i got my receiver today motorola hdt101 and weant and purchased the rs 15-1880 indoor just to see what i could and couldnt pick up......amazingly i was able to recieve all of my OTA channels in the post above.....of course i had to use the gain for the farther channels and cut off the gain for the closer ones but i am impressed with this little thing....I will probably take it back and install something in the attic and was wondering if say the antennas direct db2 or 4 with a preamp would work....as of now i dont have to rotate this RS indoor at all and was curious if i would need a rotator for the db2 or not???? thanks again guys

Try without a rotor first... you can always add it if necessary.

IMO, CBS and WB may be a problem. But, you never know!

You got the PBS station out of Asheville with the RS 1880? If so, AMAZING at 56 miles away.
