:smokin: :lurk:

I recently purchased a DLP project, as I was afriad of burn-ins/ghosting on a rear-screen projection tv. And I didn't have the money for a dlp plasma. :guiny:
I was wondering, I really like the bulky look of rear-projection tvs, how they fill up a lot of room. Would it be possible for me to some how purchase one of those boxes without the technology inside of it? I would like to setup my projector so it looks just like a regular rear-screen projection tv. Thanks.

Can your projector focus that close? Does it have the ability to become a rear projector? Which make/model do you have? Why would you want a box when a simple screen is so much easier?

I have an hp 6162 or something. I suppose a simple screen would do it but I like the box look (it looks like you spent a lot of money). Plus It feels less formal if it looks like a tv screen, everyday use and stuff. (sorry im tired).

It could be done if your projector has the capability to 'reverse' the projected image.
If not... you'd have to watch everything backwards!

You could set up a mirror to reflect it. At our corp. office - one of their conference rooms has a projector aimed at a mirror which goes back to the screen in the wall. There is about 2 or 3 feet to the mirror and then a little more back to the screen.
