I recently bought this tv, dont have hi def signal yet. dvd's look great but directv signal could be better. wondered if there were any tweaks until i upgrade to the hi-def. thanks

The biggest annoyance i have is when viewing a basketball game the players heads seem to get all blurry when moving, is this the compression issue you referred to in

"Macroblocking" can appear during fast motion scenes. See the definition in the FAQ on Acronyms.

I almost make a mistake I got the same tv 1 week ago and I was mad cause I dindt like it..but wait get a Hd box and u will see a huge differnce..u will love ur tv that tv is a HD monster...cristal clear
