I have a Zenith C32V37 that has a "popping" sound on one cable channel only,(doesn't do it with satellite) then the sound goes way down and gradually (within a few seconds) comes back to the normal level.

What is this and how can I stop it?

Thanks,

Marcopolo

Have you called your cable provider and reported this problem?
If it only happens on one channel and only with cable, it's something that they should be able to address.

1st, does your neighbor have this same problem on the same channel? Is it a constant problem or is it occasionally? If it is on you neighbors TV as well, then call for a service call and request a LINE TECH to check the node. If the neighbors sound is OK then the box is probably bad and you may save yourself time waiting on a service tech (not to be confused with a line tech) but swapping the box out yourself.

I own the same TV. I've had it a year and a half. We started getting a "popping" sound with no regular frequency or specific channel. Then, it broke. When you turn the TV on (either on the set or remote), it constantly clicks and cycles. It acts like it's trying to turn on but keeps c******* off. Any ideas?
