I just purchased this receiver with speakers and cables for $250 which I thought was a good buy. I only have one question, is this a good audio system? What should look for when purchasing an audio system because i think i'm gonna return it if you guys tell me that it sucks.

I bought this for my son for Christmas... sounds very good IMO (for the price).
My other son just bought it for his new apartment.
Sub is quite adequate. Plenty of power all around.
Personally, I find the 'setup functions' to be difficult. That's my only big gripe. But once you get all the digital inputs assigned and levels set, etc... It's a good deal.
