I have read through many posts suggesting that is it possible to combine UHF antennas but that there may be issues with multipath. Has anyone had success combining antennas? If each antenna picks up different channels is multipath an issue? If it is an issue where can I learn more about filters? Is there anything else I should consider? I am trying to avoid a rotor if possible since I tivo most programs when I'm not home. Thank you.

It is possible to stack identical antennas. First of all if connected correctly you will get a gain of about 3db. Also the pick up pattern will be more directional or narrower. The spacing between the two aerials must be a certain distance between antennas. And to stack aerials you must use a passive device to combine the antennas. The are made by channel master and winegard . I still do this practice by using a stacking harness and or using a join tenna by channel master. Stacking harness devices are hard to be found and they consist of to cut rods that mount to the antenna connections and then you connect your wire to the connections in the middle of the harness. This is a great way to stack because you do not suffer the insertion loss of a passive device.

I have 2 six foot UHF Channel Master Yagi antenna's combined. They are four feet apart. They are fantastic as long as pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for the help. Did you have to add filters and/or do the antennas overlap signals? How did you combine them? Are yagis more directional than say the Channel Master 4221?
