Hey all,
Okay - I've had a lot of good advice from everyone here so I thought I'd fill you in on my situation. I noticed a pincushion effect (sides of picture bow inward) both vertically and horizontally on my TV. It is definitely more noticable vertically especially when watching broadcast in 4:3 aspect. I had Panasonic send a technician over to make the adjustments so I could finally watch TV with straight lines. Apparently, there is no fix for this other than possibly replacing the picture engine (don't know if this includes the bulb or what).
I argued with the technician that he should be able to go into the service menu to change this but when he called the Panasonic service center they told him that there were no such adjustments in the service menu that would fix the problem.
Has anyone actually been able to fix something like this on an LCD projection TV or is this something inherent in the model. If so, it's too much distortion for me to drop $2k for and I'll have to take it back...
