What are the differences the guy at CC said that the xbr has pip and the xs doesn't,Is this the only major diff?
The Xbr is open box and the xs is new which would you buy for the same price?
Any help would be appreciated.
One more thing how many lines of resolution do these 2 have.

The 960 has a two-year warranty on labor, the other one 90 days. The 960 allows you to watch two channels side by side, not PIP. The other one doesn't. Otherwise they are pretty much the same.

...also XBR chassis has F/A components (selected) -> FINE TUNED, important for parts longevity.Good. Still if you don't mind accepting overpowered tube tint,so you"ll never will see the true "snow white" for which trinitron was loved worldwide, but light gray !!
In my opinion Sony tried to reach DEEP black so something had to give...SHAME !
Go to store a select neutral (Kelvin Temperature) and compare against another manufacturer,explain this to store manager,most likely, would like to accomodate you. Best luck!! Also I would recomend [White glove delivery], even though truck driver may not be technically up to the job,but is BETTER refuse del. than accept, dealing repeatibely with incompetent "service technitians", playin with magnets etc.
