How do you access the hidden menu ?

I'm not sure I know exactly what you are talking about, but I think I might. I have this receiver and notice that there is no menu button. When you hit the guide button you get the program guide, and when you press it again you get the option to go to the main menu, which has all of the set up features. I bought a floor model with no instructions or remote so I had to figure all of this stuff out. Also, if you want to use a universal remote, you have to choose the code for a Hughes Satellite receiver, not Toshiba...

i also got a floor model w/o remote.. see post in "deals on DST-3000" thread.. and when i was trying to set up mu system it was very frustrating cause i had to use the the front controls.. box was right over TV so i could not see screen... finally i expalined to one of the many CS people and i i also explained i had one of there replacemnet remotes (blue) that they sent me casue the original i got from they broke.. . . she looked up the code for me and it worked .. much to my suprise i tried program all probably about 6 remotes i had from other compoinents l;aying around and none worked..

any ways you hit the sat button on the remote then press the setup button and hold it till the sat buttin blinks.. let go of setup and type in 0749 then hit setupagain sat should blink a couple times ,, and you should have a remote again..
