After 6 weeks and numerous calls/emails to the clueless Cablevision, SA just told me that the DVI output on the 4200 STB won't work if you want to use your VCR on the timer to tape. The only thing that gets recorded is the famous "your HDTV does not support HDCP". Cablevision has no clue. SA says it will be fixed in the future but can't confirm when. So I will abandon the HDMI and use component video till the problem is solved. UGH.
