Samsung van came to my house today...

Well, after noticing some blotches on my samsung 5663wx, I called samsung support, and today the samsung van came to my house and worked on my tv.
The samsung tech changed the light engine, and adjusted the color wheel.
In other words, he took out everything that was inside the tv, and replaced it with a brand new light engine, and calibrated the colorwheel which produces the picture. The only thing he didn't replace was the frame and screen. Now my tv looks brand new again, and the picture is much brighter than ever before. Thanks SAMSUNG :hyper:

Changing the light engine and calibrating the color wheel will NOT fix the blotches on the screen. The blotches are a defect in the screen. Samsung has finally admitted the problem and now offer a "screen replacement" service. Go to this thread to read more about it.

Well, it did with mine and he didn't have to change the screen, maybe your problem with samsung is different then mine.
