I was thinking about switching my PS2 from my 32inch in the bedroom to the 48 inch JVC. I am worried about burn in. I play alot of sports games that have fixed images and was wondering, if any of you have had any problems.

Just keep the contrast, and brightness to some extent, down. The AVIA DVD can hlep out with setting that at a good level. Keeping ambient lighting levels lower will also let you keep the contrast lower to help prevent that. Also, just switch to a video source for a few minutes every now and then, say one ever half-hour or hour.

There are some cheaper CRTs out there that seem to have a little more susceptibility to burn-in, but if it wasn't a problem on your other TV that you were playing on, chances are it won't be a problem on this one.

Burn-in is not some kind of HDTV-only problem, it's been around since we've had TVs. It's certainly something to be knowledgeable about, but I think plenty of folks are getting a little too frightened about it. Just be aware of it, not scared of it.
