i just bought a samsung T451 today and also got the terk 5 antenna. The terk antenna has proven to be useless when i tested it against a GE $9.99 antenna i found in my storage unit on analog broadcasts. I live on the first floor of a two story apartment building and i am pretty far from any towers:
* red - uhf WTOC-DT 11.1 CBS SAVANNAH GA 250° 31.6 15
* red - uhf WJCL-DT 23 ABC SAVANNAH GA TBD 250° 30.8 23
* red - uhf WJWJ-DT 44 PBS BEAUFORT SC TBD 25° 33.2 44
* blue - uhf WTGS-DT 28.1 FOX HARDEEVILLE SC 249° 31.3 27
* blue - uhf WSAV-DT 3.1 NBC SAVANNAH GA 227° 19.1 39

My windows on the front my my apartment face SW and I have no windows on the back of my place (it backs up to another apartment). i can get good analog signals when i hook the new RCA ANT1250 up to my tv, but when i try to get any signals through my T451 it has never said anything except no signal. I know almost nothing about HD and how to get it all working well. Is there anything i can do or am i going to have to return everything and wait until i move to be able to get a signal?

IMO... you need an outdoor antenna and a rotor.

Without a 'line of sight' to the x-mitters, an indoor antenna at a distance of 30 miles is slim to none.

Only indoor antennas that may be worth trying would be a Zenith Silver Sensor (Sears) or the Radio Shack 15-1880. Don't be optimistic though...

thanks for the info, ive seen a couple people on the forums that seem to get reception from long distance but i knew being in the apartment building my chances were slim.
