I bought the Channel Master 3020 Antenna recently for over the air HDTV. I am 50 miles from transmitters (flat terrain). I have the DirecTV HD receiver. Will this package work together?

:lurk:

I agree, he might just need a UHF antenna though...

Stations and Antenna Types
TV reception is determined by the size and type of antenna and the direction in which it is pointed. To determine the right antenna, use the color coded Antenna Type to select the channels that you wish to view. Antenna types are color coded according to the size and type of antenna needed for reception. The list is arranged in order of ease of reception, with the stations requiring the smallest multidirectional antenna at the top, to those requiring the largest directional antennas at the bottom.

Use the "Compass Orientation" listed below to point your antenna or rotor system for the channels you wish to receive. Please note that "Compass Orientation" is referenced to magnetic North.

Looks good, you do have one station which is VHF, that's the Pax station, besides that everything is UHF. That antenna should work fine for you. Looks like all your stations are grouped at 169° too, no need for a rotator...

Channels 2 and 8 (KPRC and KUHT), which are the NBC and the PBS stations are on VHF too. Will that make a difference?

Edited: I see what you are saying now in that the HD signals for these stations are on UHF. So do you think I will need an amp? Is the Channel Master OK for picking up HD signals to go to DirecTV?

I was just going to recommend a UHF only antenna if all your stations were UHF but since that's not the case the one you have should be fine. KPRC-DT is on UHF channel 35, it gets remapped to 2.1 inside your ATSC tuner by the way.
