I have the Sony 60XS955 and I want to get an HDMI to HDMI cable to hook up my TV to a DVD player. Monster has some but are around $100, are there any other out there that are the same quality as Monster but half the price? I have seen many that are cheaper but are they the same quality?? Also any suggestions on a DVD player that upconverts well.

See the FAQ on DVI connectors for links to lots of places that have cables.

See the forum on DVD players - lots have been discussed. People here will probably provide some recommendations soon.

I've always been happy with the Denon line. The 1910 is a good value but doesnt do HDMI so you'd have to snag a HDMI-DVI cable. Or jump up to the 2910. I was unimpressed the the Samsung upconverters.

I have found many, and bought a few, HDMI cables. I setteled on an inexpensive HDMI/HDMI that was something like $22 US. I saw no difference between this and the others I bought/tried ;) except that: when changing from say, 420p/full/any to 1081i/any the picture may turn pink and I have to reseat the HDMI cable (@ TV) to get rid of it/return to normal. Laughing are you now? In any case, my less that $100 worth.
