I have a sony kdp-51ws550 & i noticed today there is light yellow across the bottom left of the screen & it fades out on the right side .What i am wondering is that a burn in. Thanks

Sounds like convergence. Burn-in is more of a ghost like, static, over laid on the picture showing. Check your convergence and/or geometry.

did that though it was a speaker next to it move them ,also thought it was a neon light in my daughter room . nothing . ITS 4in tall and fades past half way of the screen. trying everything . before I take it back

Sounds like a tech should look at it. It happens on all channels/inputs?

yes & ota antenna . its only 3 week old & i know warranty does not cover burn in.

Did you leave a video game on all the time? From what you have written, it really does not sound like burn-in to me.

no video games . I'm pretty carefull with it . What color if any does a burn in have?
or what would cause this problem. thanks.& I live close to lancaster
It's highly doubtful you'd have burn in in three weeks if it was a new TV. Burn in is caused by a static image on the screen and takes months, even with abuse. Was there a static image there that looked like your "image" that leads you to suspect burn in?

no its kind of square but fades the further right it goes .it goes about 80% across the bottom . its hard to see my wife couldn't tell untill i showed her .but it bothers me. the other day i was watching the bud shootout it flashed a few times went black but the sound never changed came back on . a couple days later is when i noticed it . Thanks for the replies everyone .
