Excellent TV all around, nice features, good PQ with analog cable, excellent PQ with HD cable, excellent sound, built in HD tuner for free OTA HDTV, digital optical audio out for connection to home theater, lightweight (65 lbs)....thumbs up. the only thing i don't like about it is that when using split screens, you can only display an HD source in the left window. If you want to watch two programs at once, the right window cannot be digital tv, or dvd, or anything connected to the component video inputs or HDMI input. Not too much of an issue for me though.

I've got the 50 incher - sure you can show digital on the right side - i had 2 dish receivers hooked up.
great hdtv,

I have it and love it more and more each time I turn it on. Cable doesn't look the greatest but it's not bad really, it's just bigger than a standerd tube television so the flaws are more noticable. HD channels look amazing, they're so clear and bright. Xbox and PS2 both look fantastic with the optional component cables, especially if your playing 1080 capable games. The feature list is long and the price point is excellent. I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

Good choice, and being a slightly earlier model, with 99% of all the goodies the newer ones have, you can get a nice discount. I hear nothing but great news.

My 42 incher only displays digital and HD sources in the left window. i get a black screen on the right if, say, I'm watching an HD channel on the left and an HD channel on the right. This is even the case if I'm watching a DVD (hooked up via component video) on the right. My manual even states that anything that uses the component video or HDMI inputs can only be displayed on the left window. If i try putting a digital source on the right window, my tv says "dtv not available". Anyone else have this issue?

Only one DVI or component cable will work.
Doesn't your manual say you can only view HD on the left side??
Try, composite or RF on the right - voila - twin view - it's still digital!!!

Directly from the manual:
Digital TV channels, as well as any sources connected to the HD/DVD IN 5-6, and HDMI IN 7 inputs display in the left window, but not the right.
Composite, by the way, is analog.

Thanks for the opinions. Sounds like a good one, especially for the price.
