Besides one being a later model than the other, does anyone know the difference(s) between the two models? CC has a sale on one and the website the other. Same price but online offers free shipping. Thanks

Actually both TVs are current models. The last digit in Panny tube TVs is the model year.
The CT-32HL44 is the new style cabinet and has two-tuner PIP with Split Screen. It's their high-end 32" set.
The CT-32HCX14 has the older 2003 style cabinet that's considerably narrower than the HL44 (it's 32" wide despite the CC site incorrectly saying it's 35" wide). This TV has only one tuner and does not have PIP or Split Screen but if you have cable or satellite it's probably not an issue. It's their basic 32" TV. There are a number of people on AVSForum.com that have this TV and like it (they needed the narrow cabinet to fit their armoire).
Both TVs should have the same picture quality as Panasonic uses the same tube for all their 32" sets. I have a 2003 model CT32HXC43 that has 2-tuner PIP/Split Screen but since i run my cable through two DVRs i never use this feature. Picture quality on analog and digital cable channels is very good. HD and DVD look stunning. The CT32HCX14 is a decontented version of my TV and the case is plastic where mine is the last black HD tube TV they made.
