My lcd up/down converts everything to 720P, so shuld I set my D*TV hd box to 720P or 1080I ?? :patriot:

The TV may do a better conversion than the STB of 1080i signals (which most are), so make sure you at least check out a 1080i channel and the 1080i setting. But as mentioned by Matt, use whatever looks better to you.
A 720P signal would be converted twice though... Does this STB offer a "passthrough" mode, where what goes in, comes out? Sometimes channel changes take longer when set up this way when the format changes though...

As Matt said try both, or if you have a native setting on your STB. this way all of FOX,ABC and ESPN will display at 720p and the rest will be converted by the TV to 720p from 1080i
