Need a High Tech option fast.........

I am in the market for a HDTV, I have been very impressed with the Sony line.... I went to Circuit City and they have a new 46" version available, just came out this month...I am including the link to the only place on-line I can find specifications, I was wondering if any of you more experienced HDTV'ers could look the specs over and give me you opinion.... I really am not quite sure if it is a true High Definition set or if it munipulates the signal to make it seem like it is.... Also your opinion on the other specs....

It is a HD ready set, meaning it will display a 1080i Hd picture with a Set top box. DVI ready is ok. There is nothing that differentiates it from many other brands. Take a look at the Toshiba,Hitachi and Mitsubishi brands to make some comparisons. All three make a similar size TV with the same features.
