KV30HS420 + DVI/HDMI cable, no signal

hey guys,

I just purchased this magnificant TV set and want to use it as a monitor for my pc as well.

I have purchased a dvi to hdmi cable to plug my Radeon 9800 pro to the card.

I turned on the tv, set it to input 7 which is hdmi, and then turned on my computer. I get the post, then the logo for windows xp comes up, but once it goes into actual windows, the screen goes dead. right before it dies, a couple of white boxes appear on the screen, and then all goes dark.

I'm guessing it's resolution related...

any body have and ideas?

I suggest doing some research on "PowerStrip", it's a utility that'll let you set custom resolutions for your video card so it will work with your TV.

hey guys,

yeah I downloaded powerstrip and the keohi guide to custom resolutions, but I can't get my TV to post 960*540. I tried fixing the horizontal scan rate and all of the stuff that was mentioned in the guide, but all I get when I plug my TV using a DVI to HDMI cable is a white box that fills up the screen.

I know the cable works because if I plug the computer to the hdtv, I can see the post test as well as the windows logo.

anyone have specific configs for this tv?
