Hi guys, I know lcds are better viewing in the sun, but is there any damage I can do buy putting and LCD in direct sunlight, we got a nice PHILIPS 20" that i want to put in the store window

I've read a few 'cautions' where it is stated to keep the panel away from vibrations, dust and direct sunlight. FWIW
To RATMAN's point, I specifically know a person who's LCD PC display was in direct sunlight for several hours. When they tried to use it for PC use, it was very dark for over 2 hours. It gradually came back, to what they believe was the original state.
