I have a new Sony KD-34XBR960 and a Comcast Motorola 6412 HD/DVR and am having CC problems - I'm getting CC on SD, but the CC on HDTV looks terrible - its very small, in an odd place on the tv, and new text sort of runs over previous text. I imagine the problem is the DVR since the SD CC looks find. I've gone through the DVR settings and set it to large font, but it is still very small - much smaller than SD CC. Any idea how to improve the CC text size and quality? Thanks!

Could be STB....I know in SoCal, Adelphia is having CC troubles. From their FAQ

12. Will I be able to view closed-captioning with HDTV?
The special set-top receiver initially will not support closed captioning on high-definition channels. However, you will still be able to view closed-captioning whether in the analog lineup (Basic Lineup) or on Adelphia Digital Cable. The closed captioning limitation on HD channels is a technical limitation. We are diligently working with our set-top supplier on the development of new software for providing closed captioning on all channels. This software will be downloaded to your set-top once it becomes available.

Just as an FYI, the SA STBs have no issues with CC on HD. Works just fine.

I know. I've got the 8300.

SoCal Adelphia is using a Motorola box, I believe...
