Hi all,
I want to use my Comcast DVR to watch and record HD shows, but don't want to depend on its stupid menus and stuff for SD programming. I would like to be able to use TiVo's features for that purpose. I am planning to turn off TiVo's "suggestions" feature, so that it doesn't randomly change the channel while I am watching TV with the Comcast DVR. I did all the connections and everything. Channel changing works just fine. Video is ok; however, even though Comcast DVR has more than one video output (one of them goes directly to the TV, and the other one goes to TiVo in my case), it has only one regular (non-digital) audio output. That is one set of composite audio (red and white). As a result of that, every time I want to watch something with TiVo, I have to unplug the composite audio cables from the TV and plug them on the TiVo.
I am looking for some kind of a splitter that would make my one audio output set into two. All the Y-splitters that i saw at Radioshack say either mono-to-mono or phono-to-phono? What are these terms? I know what mono is, but what is phono? I am not sure but I guess the composite audio (red and white) is supposed to be stereo. Is there any where I can find Stereo-to-stereo Y-splitters? Does that product have a special name because I can't find it anywhere?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Oytun
