I was looking at the Mitsubishi WS-55315, but I noticed it has no dvi imput or can accept 720p images. Is it still worth getting or should I go with another model that has these features? Is 720p that important?
thanks

Paul, most 1080i sets are okay because they can accept 720p images and upconvert them into 1080i. Most RPTV's accept only 1080i, but at least they have DVI inputs. How much is the set for? Are you getting a very good deal??

Best buy has it for $1499.99. DVI isn't that big of a deal for me.

Not big of a deal? That's fine, but that's an "extra" option for your accessories (stb, dvd, xbox, ps2, etc..) to plug into. Plus DVI is an all "digitial" transmission and some people prefer that to component. Does the TV have HDMI, though? If it does than I think you are okay, just the more HD connections, the better. Does it have HDMI (that's another all "digital" transmission)?
The 720P issue is only relevant for Gamers who have 720P games they care about. All other STBs, etc provide 1080i output for TVs like this.

I dont know where you got your info but the 55315 DOES have a DVI input. It is called MonitorLink as it is on most mitsubishi tv's.
720p is irrelevant - it will be converted to 1080i
Paul - the picture quality on that tv will rival any lcd, dlp or even high end RPTV.
Buy that tv - save the extra 1000 that you would spend on another model and buy a sweet surround sound system.
I have the 315 and the 815 and cannot tell a difference in PQ when hooked up to an HD source via DVI
you better look again.ws-55515 does have DVI.I got the 55515 for 1699 atBB it has HDMI.Also try to get that price down on the 315.HH Gregg had them a few weeks ago for 1297
