View Full Version : SA3250HD settings won't stick

I've been trying to get my STB settings to stay at "pass-through". Every time I go in and set it to this it says to press the yellow "A" button to save this setting. After doing this, every time I notice that the next time I go into this settigns box it is set back to "fixed". Anybody ever seen this happen? How do I make my "pass-through" setting stick.
I don't recall having to use the "A" button, just scroll to passthrough and press "select" if I recall. Is your STB using SARA or Passport firmware?

It's SARA. At the bottom of the picture format screen it says to press "A" to save.

Also I have used the setup wizard to set the STB to output 480i, 720p, & 1080i. Whenever the "pass-through" option is set right, the 720 & 1080 output changes when i change channels between say FOX and CBS, but when I go to any SD channel it doesn't switch the output to 480i.
Just for kicks, have you tried Upconvert1? That will send 480P/1080i to the TV. (if you enable 480P standard.)
Have you looked at the FAQ "Tips for SA STBs".

Yeah I read that FAQ a couple times. Nope haven't tried the upconvert. I've got the Hitachi LCD RPTV so I want to send the SD channels to my TV in 480i.
