I have a CT-32HX40 that was purchased March 2001 and my Panasonic TV keeps blacking out. I can unplug it, and it will then come back on. The first session will last about 1 hour, and then as it blacks out, the sessions continue to get shorter and shorter. As long as I unplug it, it will come on, for awhile. Of course I am now ready to take it to an authorized Panasonic repair, but am curious what may be the problem and am not optimistic about the repair costs. Any thoughts anyone? What could be the problem? Being only 4 years old, I am disappointed and have no response from Panasonic nor Sears who did not show up to fix it. It will take several guys to remove it from the cabinet and haul it in for me. What a pain! I have gone through the menu completely hoping it was a timer or setting that was cutting it off, but have not encountered anything.

Kinda sounds like a thermo-trip. How hot is it getting? You might try and provide some extra air from a fan and see if the problems gets any better.
