Hello,

I'm looking at an HDTV purchase but I'm concerned on how my digital cable picture will look. My cable company only has a couple of HDTV channels at this time. When you go to the stores to view an HDTV it's ether on DVD or an HDTV satellite feed. Can anyone impart some wisdom on what I can expect. Do you have any suggestions. If it helps I live in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

Thanks,

Hack

Hack, welcome to the forum.

The quality of the picture will depend on the quality of the feed. I have a pretty good cable picture from Rogers in downtown Toronto, but I've heard a lot of people dissatisfied with standard definition signals on satellite or cable.

The most important thing to do is to set up your TV properly - see the post "what you need to do to your new HDTV" in the FAQ section - 6th one down on the home page.

You mention you are from Burlington. If you haven't already, visit --> Digital Home Canada (http://www.digitalhomecanada.com/forums/index.php)

Also check out the other posts in the FAQs, as they are typically helpful to those new to HDTV.
