dvi to hdmi

would I get a better signal if I connect a STB to a TV using hdmi to hdmi/ dvi to dvi rather than dvi to hdmi?? I heard something about codes being different on each so the pic wouldnt be as good as if it was one of the same ....

No difference in codes. It's HDCP for both.

IMO... use 'like to like' interfaces for the best result if possible.
It should not affect picture quality with any combination if necessary.
