Couple of HDTV questions

I just got my HD cable box yesterday through Time Warner in Orange County Ca .After having my Mitsubishi HDTV for 2 Years . I was Happy to Stare at PBS because it is incredible. The rest of the channels(ABC,CBS,NBC,HBO,Sho) are about twice the clarity while Pbs is like 6 times clearer. Do the shows like alias ,CSI come out Wide screen too . Also what is OAR ?

The shows that are broadcast in HD, such as CSI and most all of CBS and ABC primetime, will all be broadcast to the HD standard of 16:9 ratio widescreen.

OAR stands for Original Aspect Ratio. Check out the FAQ forum for all the details on OAR, letterboxing and those black or grey bars you might see on the sides or top of your screen.
