I own a Pioneer 520 Elite and have been waiting for my local cable company to offer HDTV. They just started service on Nov.12. I signed up right away. I now have what they call HDTV but I'm very dissapointed in the fact that everything I have seen, so far, broadcast on local TV is in the 4x3 format. Most of the Showtime and HBO movies are 16x9 but not all and I haven't seen a local broadcast in 16x9 yet. I have the 520 set to the default setting of full, which it locks on to for 1080i. We have a true HDTV station here on PBS which is always 16x9. I like PBS but not on a steady diet plan. Is it me, my TV, the cable co., and is it like this on satilite? I called Cox only to be told that they aren't sure yet quite what they are diong. Also I noticed on the schedule I just found, a lot of prgrams are broadcast in 720p. Can I see these programs in HiDef seeing as my TV's format is 1080i. If not is there a converter box to recieve these signals? Thanks
