SA8000 Sync issue

Hello,

I have a small problem I want to discuss with all of you. For some time now, i have had sound sync issue while watching recorded material on my SA8000. Often, after going through commercials in fast forward, when i press play again, the sound gets about 5 seconds late from the video. I have to rewind and press play again one or twice in order to get the sound back in sync.

Anybody having this problem? Any ways to solve it?

I have seen in a thread on this forum that there is a way to refromat the hard drive to solve the fragmenting issues. Could my problem be caused by fragmentation? Anybody tried the reformatting stuff with success?

Although it sometimes takes a few seconds for the sound to synch with the video, for me it always gets in synch once the video starts playing.

Have you tried simply rebooting the STB? See the FAQ "Tips for SA STBs".

Thanks 57U. I have read your Faq and tried rebooting several times since that appeared. I thought at first that it coulb be software related. But it ha been 6 months now since it started doing that. It does not happen to my friends that have the same terminal.
