Hi folks!
New here. Great source of info! I am very new to the whole HDTV thing, so have much to learn.
At any rate, I bought a C32V37 this past June and have been enjoying it quite a bit, until recently.
A month or so ago, I noticed that the focus would go in and out. This was expecially noticeable on things like program listing grids. You could watch the lines blur and then re-focus, although they rarely ever would go back to the kind of clarity that they should have. That was bad enough, but being otherwise busy with work and whatnot, I let it ride for a couple of months. Then, the other day, the picture went almost totally black, with only a few outlined highlights of images occasionally coming through in a dark orange/amber sort of color. Last straw.
So, I called an authorized Zenith repair shop nearby and they've taken the set and will let me know what is wrong. They said to expect it to take about a week to be repaired. The parts are still under warranty, but not the labor. I'm looking at about $300 out of pocket for labor and pickup/delivery. :mecry:
Any information about similar problems or experiences or just general comments appreciated.
I will post a follow-up when I know more.
Thanks!
Bob
