Monster Cable Component cables...

I had a friend ask me the other day what the difference is between Monster Cables video 3 component cables and their THX 1000 component cables. Can anyone tell me which would actually be better? I have always heard about the video 3 cables, I didn't know anything about the THX ones untill he said something about it. I new they did speaker wire but hadn't heard of the rest. I looked at their web site and found they all sorts of stuff that had THX on it. Sounds like a gimmick to me. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appriceated. Monster Cables are overpriced and over-hyped. When you add the THX certification (which is all it is...), they can charge even more.

I see that you already use Tributaries in you system. Stay with them they are a lot better then Monster. I have Ultralink in mine and it's awesome picture and sound.

Thanks for the replys. You all are great. Pederb, I tried to get my friend to go with Tributaries like me but he said I was crazy. Oh well I like them. :)
