I have an RCA DTC100 that I want to use strictly for the OTA HD channels. I have a Mits WS-65908, Channelmaster 4228 antenna and a VGA to RGBHV breakout cable. No matter what I do I still can't seem to get the HD channels to come in. I can use the S Video and get a picture with good signal strength.

To make sure the VGA output on the receiver was working I hooked it up to an old monitor with VGA input. Hit the info button on the receiver and picture popped up. I've went thru all the menus in both the TV and the receiver and still no luck.

You can't use a 'breakout' cable, you have to use a transcoder. Radio Shack carries one and there are others available from various E-tailer.
