I have the PT43LC14 model and every so often when I hit power on the remote, it just sits there and blinks green but the set won't seem to come on. Then I have to unplug the set and then power it on. Anyone else had this issue with their PT-LC model?? Why does it do this? And again it happens every once in awhile (once every couple of weeks). :nono2:

The only time that something similar has occurred is when the set is powered down and the standby button is blinking red which as you know indicates that the bulb is being cooled. If the set is turned back on before it has turned solid red it will blink green like normal when being powered on, but will usually take a lot longer to ignite the bulb. A couple of times it has taken what seemed like at least a couple of minutes.
How long did you wait and are these power on's from a solid red? If you hear the fan running and you see the green light blinking I would try to wait or power off again and wait for it to turn solid red because you might damage the bulb by unplugging the set while it is cycling a power up.

CW,
You need to skim the owners manuel a little bit. The bulb takes a a few seconds to heat up and almost two minutes to cool down when turning the set off. :stop:

Yeah I got it all squared away. It just seems to me a tad idiotic that I can flip the television off and then essentially flip it on 2 seconds later only to have to wait almost 2 minutes to see a picture. You'd think the picture could still pop up and the fan run (thus cooling the bulb all at once).

Ya it's annoying. Your better off to wait for it to turn solid red, and it seems to power back up sooner. I try to just leave the set on if I know im gonna watch something in a couple of minutes. The set keeps track of the number of power as well as bulb hours. Once a certain number is hit it prompts the message of getting a replacement bulb.

No point in turning the set off and turning it right back on.

No sense in leaving the TV on if you've got to make a quick run to the store. :nono2:

IMO... if your only going to be away from the TV for an hour or less, leave it on.
Power cycling is probably more detrimental to the electronics, especially to bulbs/lamps.
