I purchased a new Zenith E44W46LCD TV from Best Buy about 3 weeks ago. The TV worked great and had a great picture. Just recently, I will be watching a movie and the screen will get very blurry and continue to get worse until I turn it off. Even if I change to TV or Playstation, it remains blurry. If I turn the TV off for a couple of hours and then come back, the picture is back to normal.
Does anyone know why it does this?
If it does this consistently, I'd call for a replacement, or service, making sure the TV had the "blurry" display when service arrived.

Have you or anyone else heard of this happening? I haven't seen it on any other post as an issue. This will be the second one of these that I have taken back in 3 weeks. The first had verticle lines every 6". I am thinking that maybe I should get a different brand.

If you call for service you probably loose out on your chance to take it back. For the dough take it back and get a Panny. The prices are pretty good, even on the new models.

After having two of these TV's go bad, I decided not to try it a third time. I up graded to the Toshiba 52" Model: 52HM84. Best Buy had it on sale for $2374.99, but they took another $150.00 off of the price for my troubles.

Nice move and a bigger screen to boot. Enjoy.

The blurry picture and it going dark are the same problem, according to my tv repair guy. There is a power supply unit that controls both picture tube brightness and sharpness. When they start to go bad, you can get either or both symptoms. Cost me $300 to fix (including pickup and delivery) on my Zenith.
