It only happens watching HD channels, or HD channels recorded with the DVR. The audio drops out for a second- sometimes it happens a lot, sometimes, not too often. I am going to call them, I guess- but if it is not their problem, they charge you to come over. Anyone have any ideas why this would be? The Cox tech hooked up the Box/DVR- using component I guess. I am wondering if I hook the box up with HDMI if that would help at all. I have a Sony WEGA KV-34HS420...

Same issue occurs on Mediacom with a Motorola 6412. Don't know if it is the box or not. I suspect it is because whenever I watch HD over the antenna I don't lose audio. I might lose the whole signal but that is different.

Edit: Could be a signal issue but I know it is something that seems to be a common problem with the MOTO STB's. Usually get it at least once per program. Considering that were on different providers it probably lessens the probability that it's the signal. :nono2:

So, it's probaly a STB problem. I wonder if everyone using these is complaining? I'm gonna have to call them and *****, I guess.

I have the same thing happen. It sounds like the STB is it. If so, then its a Moto problem and most likely Cox will not have an answer (I have Cox too).
It happens with HD broadcast here too! I also must say I saw the same thing on my grandfathers DirecTV HD broadcasts also. I really don't think its a COX thing....

I have audio drop out on cox in Phoenix with the S/A box. Another note. Since December I have had 4 boxes and am now ready for a 5th because the hard disk for the DVR's cook.
