Problem entering 8300 Setup

I just exchanged my 8000 for a 8300 and wanted to go through a proper setup. I have tried numerous times to enter it using the guide + info buttons on the unit itsef while it was off and it won't bring up anything at all. I have the TV set to a HD channel as well prior to turning the unit off. The TV is obviously still on. Any ideas?

The Guide/Info buttons are applicable to STBs runing SARA firmware. Perhaps you are using Passport firmware?
