i have a D27D51 Zenith HDTV and was wondering if anybody knew how i can obtain the default values for my service menu??? because i changed some of these vaules and kind of screwed myself over. If i called zenith up i have a feeling they might explain to me that touching these vaules might terminate my warrenty so thats why im affriad of calling up zenith. if anybody knows where i can get them online or where please let me know! thank you

I have been searching for you as well. Hopefully we can come up with something. I have tried almost every site though, but I am not giving up yet. I am sure one of us will find it for you.

When you were making those changes, did you save with a command (write) ? Some sets,if you don't save( Write) the settings to the Eprom, you can reset to default settings by Un-Plugging the set (half hour or overnight?)

I feel your pain.......:(

Actually, there are a lot of models out there and finding any info about any one of them on the net might be an impossible proposition. I reccomend getting in touch with the Zenith manuals department and getting a service manual for your set. It might provide default values and shouldn't cost more than $50 to get it, probably cheaper. In some cases the manual will also explain what some of the menu items are for and you can use the stuff you found at the keohi site to see if it can help to make sense of any of the others.

Try taking the back off of the set. You may find a label attached inside with default values or description for a 'secret' button to reset to factory defaults.

Oh, and what is it that you think is now screwed up, and do you remember what settings it was that you changed? We might be able to help you figure it out if all else fails.

well i kinda fixed the curve that i made in the screen , i used this service menu . it has most of the ones i have in my service menu but this is what screwed me up cause this ant the right service menu. and i used all the defaults from this one. If i can just find the default settings for my service menu id be set.

Yeah, those are the ones from my Zenith IQB64W10W. The setting names should be similar, I would think, and the notes might help you to figure out which ones were the ones giving you problems. The ones giving you problems, then would just need to be changed little by little until you find the fix.

If it's a geometry problem, such as a curve in the picture, then you might try from the user menu and see if there is a convergence, or on mine they call if focus for some god-forsaken reason, and see if you can work it out using that.
